What are ACEs?
Adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) are traumatic events and life situations experienced by kids which can lead to chronic health conditions, as well as a range of adverse outcomes including lower lifetime educational attainment and lost earning potential in adulthood. The good news is that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) says even a small reduction in ACEs could result in positive and lasting impacts — and that's where the AmeriHealth Caritas Foundation fits in.
